Long Wall announces $75 million award from the Missile Defense Agency for Cyclops low-cost interceptor

Long Wall has announced a $75 million award from the Missile Defense Agency to complete flight testing of the Cyclops low-cost interceptor. Long Wall began development of Cyclops in 2024 and announced the product in December of last year.

“Demand for interceptors has surged, while low production capacity and high unit costs remain major challenges to replenish expanded magazine depth,” explains Dan Piemont, Co-Founder and CEO of Long Wall. “We bring a clean sheet design and a new approach to the table. With Cyclops, Long Wall is building for the current and future operational environment.”

Throughout the period of performance, Long Wall will invest an additional $75 million at private expense to continue Cyclops design and development.

“We spent the last two years investing our own capital to design and test Cyclops based on our perception of escalating global threats,” Piemont continues. “We will continue investing alongside the MDA to ensure the U.S. maintains a qualitative and quantitative edge over those who threaten us.”

Long Wall is executing the Cyclops program with mature, highly verticalized development, test, and production infrastructure spanning over 180,000 sqft and 100 acres across three major facilities.
