Arqiva and Dali Wireless Improve Mobile Coverage in Glasgow City Centre

Wireless infrastructure builder Arqiva has joined with Dali Wireless and Cellular Asset Management to improve Mobile coverage and capacity around Glasgow city centre (Scotland, UK) by harnessing a new digital Distributed Antenna System (DAS), which will also support future 5G rollouts.

The work, which has just completed, essentially saw the group upgrade their existing network by replacing the analogue components with Dali’s digital DAS (their first deployment in the UK), which they say should provide “superior performance” (supporting 2G, 3G, 4G and future 5G services). The new DAS is also scalable so that it can be used in all sorts of both outdoor and indoor environments.
