Matt Crotty

Matt joined New Science Ventures in October 2025, currently serving as Controller. Before joining New Science Ventures, he was Director of the Center of Excellence at SteelBridge Consulting, providing managed services to clients in the private capital industry. Prior to SteelBridge, he was Senior Director of Fund Services North America at TMF Group, a Dutch multinational professional services firm that acquired the fund administrator Venture Back Office in 2021. As a Director at Venture Back Office, Matt served as the primary client contact and team lead for a variety of venture capital and private equity fund administration clients. Matt started his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young. He received a Master’s degree in Accounting and B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of North Carolina.
