GTxcel celebrates WCAG 2.0 A & AA Certification

After months of rigorous testing, GTxcel is proud to announce that the Turnstyle platform is officially Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 certified at the A & AA level.

This means that the Turnstyle platform has met a series of success criteria as set forth by the Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the main international standards organization for the Internet. Having a WCAG 2.0 A & AA conforming platform results in a richer user experience for everyone, including people with visual, hearing, mobility, perceptual and cognitive limitations.

Turnstyle publications now offer features and functionality that allow for better handling of text sizing, image zooming and captioning, and logical keyboard navigation. Users with screen readers will enjoy major improvements, including buttons and navigation elements that can be read, image descriptions, and extracted advertisement text.

On the backend of the platform, the Article Editor interface in the Publisher Dashboard has been updated to provide tools to improve accessibility. This includes a new WCAG article compliance report that highlights issues within article content.

Details on what WCAG compliance means for you and the tools available to support your accessibility goals are available on the GTxcel documentation site.

As leaders and trusted partners in the digital publishing industry, we are very pleased to deliver a robust solution that is receptive to both client needs and accessibility standards.
